Smile Brand New to WAHM

Hi All!

Since this is my first post ever, I thought I would start with what my life has been like as a stay at home mom. Honestly ... this is the hardest, but most rewarding job I have ever had! You all know what I mean. Also, to say that I "stay home" is crazy. Now I will preface this by saying that my two little ones are now 7 & 11. I am now a glorified taxi that works at my kids school for free (PTA President, Class Mom, Etc). This make my husband so happy

Because my kids are getting older, I am getting the itch to do something new. I don't want to go back to teaching (I was a pre-K teacher before kids,) so I thought I would take a shot at an online business. I settled on selling organic coffee since I pretty much live on the stuff! I am in the early stages, but already have my site and operations ready to go. It's kind of exciting.

Anyway, I will definitely be posting more as I become familiar with this site. In the meantime, I will be in the throws of growing a business. if you want to check it out and provide feedback, my company is called FightingTheGrind.

Talk soon!

Welcome to the forum. Ditto on loving the name. Are you going to be selling various types and brands of coffee on your own website or are you creating your own blends. i'm a bit of a foodie and always love the stories.

Smile Thank you Millie!

To answer your question ... I am doing both. I set up relationships with a few vendors of products I love and have them listed at a great price. For my own blends, that was the interesting part. I traveled to several coffee bean plantations, met with several roasters and did my due diligence on coffee in general. To say I learned a lot would be an understatement.

In the end, I decided to launch with 4 different blends of coffee that is purely organic and delicious! I have light, medium and dark roasts available. Everything is roasted to order to ensure freshness. I would love for you to visit the site and let me know your thoughts. I know we can't post links here ... so if you google "FightingtheGrind" you will see my site a few lines down. One interesting fact I learned about coffee ... the darker the roast ... the lower the caffeine! I always thought it was the opposite before jumping into this!

Thanks!

Nat
