Talking My intro :)

Hi Everyone! My name is Shelly I am 29 (almost 30) and currently work "full-time" as the technology director for a small catholic school near my home. I LOVE working so close to home and having a flexible schedule and summers off. The only thing I don't love is the pay and having no income during the summer. I am looking for tech type things to do during my spare and off time. I started a blog awhile ago but not sure how to generate people to it to make an income off of that..i think i might have to post more than just about my Rheumatoid Arthritis If you have suggestions my blog is called mnlovely-you can find it on wordpress. I don't want to add the link and risk getting this taken down as I would love to use this as networking for jobs to do during my off time. Oh I also have a 20 month old son, he's my one and only and spending time with him is extremely important to me!! I'm excited to start reading all the information provided here!

Hi Shelly and welcome.

For your blog, maybe you can expand on the Arthritis niche. Arthritis affects so many people, so perhaps add more posts about that or more general health posts? From what I've read, the health niche is very competitive, but it is also possible to make money there. Google AdSense or affiliate ads may be one way to monetize.

Also try promoting your blog on different sites, forums, groups, social media, etc. Good luck and hope this helps.

Hi Shelly,

Welcome to the forum. I agree with danasurvey - build out a niche website about RA. Write content, create an e-book, and spread the word! It takes work, but it should pay off when done right!
