Smile Wannabe artist planning to be a WAHM in 2016

Hi everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm just now researching about working from home part time as a virtual assistant and software tester so that I could expand the time I spend being an artist. I am currently a marketing and technology person (not at home). I have tons of work experience, but I am an artist and writer at heart and never could find the time or financial flexibility to follow the creative path.

But next year our situation will most likely change so that I'll be able to be a WAHM, being able to pick my son up after school rather than sending him to a babysitter (what I do now)! I'm so excited about that last part because he really needs me to be helping with homework. And the house sure could use some TLC, too. So, my goal is to spend about 15 hrs/week working to pay the bills and about 20-30 hours/week making art. (I have an awesome studio in the basement)

Before I joined this forum I compiled a list of a few companies that hire virtual assistants, but I'm really super glad I found this forum. Everyone seems to be really supportive. I'm looking forward to reading everyone's experiences, as I'm a bit hesitant and not sure who to trust with a lot of WFH opportunities. (I've done mechanical turks and elancer in the past and that's not worth my time for the amount they pay)

OK thanks for letting me talk about myself.

Welcome to WAHM It is nice to meet you. I am a wife and mom of three. I have worked from home off and on for several years and love it. I love the flexibility of being able to work around my kids schedule while still earning an income. If you have any questions or just want someone to chat with send me a message
