Excessive Dog Barking... Advice?
We own a 16 month old golden retriever who barks excessively. Despite walking her twice a day and giving her lots of attention and time outside for exercise, she barks at everyone and anything that moves. We live in a suburban area with plenty of activity going on outside.
Even when there's nothing going on outdoors she'll sit and bark at us. Love her, but not the barking. I'm wondering what if anything can be done. I'm not interested in surgically altering her bark. Anyone here have experience with a bark collar? Are they humane? I know she's still a puppy, but my nerves are shot.

My friends used the bark collar with good results and I did not feel that it was inhumane.
