Just wondering when everyone stopped having those baby monitors in their kids rooms. I have a 3 yr old and 17 month old (both girls) in the same room. I'm not sure that I am ready to not be able to hear them especially at night...but I just wanted to see when everyone stopped using them!

Thanks!!!!!

When they could get out of bed if they needed me. I still use one if they are napping and I go outside.

Ditto. I keep mine in the kitchen so I can take it out in the yard when DS is napping.

Well, my 2 1/2 yr old and 7 yr old share a room and I still have a monitor in there that I use every night. They are even directly across from us but I like being able to hear them breathe at night.

With my first dd, I used it all the time even though our room was directly across from her. I also used it if she wasnapping in her room and I was in the kitchen - again notthat much distance. After about3 months I stopped and only used it if I was downstairs and she was upstairs sleeping or if I as outside. With my second dd, never use it, unless we are outside and she is napping.

BUT I do use it when playdates are here. The kids usually go downstairs and play. This way moms can be upstairs having fun and still hear what is going on.
