Default When I grew Up I wanted to Be...?

Since I was about 4 I wanted to work with plants. Didn't quiet know how or what only that I enjoyed helping my dad in the vegetable garden.

When i left school I enrolled in Horticulture at our local Technical College, 12 months later I started an Organic Gardening Business.

After 15 years I gave that side of my Business away to build my current NM business venture. Though not gardening related it is an Organic Business so I feel i am in some way still doing what i always wanted to do as a kid.

What was your dream Job as a Child... ?

I wanted to be a veterinarian. I did end up working for veterinarians as a lab tech and a surgical assistant for over 10 years. Then I opened up my pet shop 18 years ago and am still working it, plus am a Tupperware Consultant and an Independent Watkins Associate.

Good stuff!

I wanted to be an Airline Stewardess, I used to fly back and forth to Florida to see my Dad 2 or 3 times a year and I thought that would be the coolest job ever.

Now I hate to fly and we drive if we go on vacation! lol

Happy New Year!

As a child I always wanted to work with animals in some way, either as a vet, trainer or zoologist. When I got older I wanted to be a nurse. I ended up being a licensed massage therapist for 11 years and enjoying my pets at home.

One of my New Years resolutions is to start gardening again (for fun not work). I love it and want my kids to enjoy the benefits like I did growing up.

I had always said that I wanted to work with horses. I know that many little girls have a fasination with horses. I just never seemed to grow out of mine.

I do not do anything with horses now. My daughter is just as horse crazy as I was. I am hoping to be able to at least get her the riding lessons that I did not get to do when I was growing up when she gets a bit older.

I've always wanted to be a teacher. I liked my elem school teachers. However, the pay is lousy, and now I'm in finance and teach only part time.

Default Like children to work

No matter how much we age, we always can have a single child's heart to treat this world

I wanted to be a teacher-because my 3rd grade teacher was so beautiful (lol)

The end of my senior year of high school, I was signed up at the university, for the fall semester!

Then I decided to take 1 year off and go to cosmetology school. The hours were flexible and I could work and go to school.
My Dad was NOT very happy w/me. But I did it anyway!

Long story short-once I found out I could make more money as a cosmetologist-I never went to college.
NOW-30 years later-I wish I would have, I could retire!
