Hello - just started working from home 10-15 hours a week with a direct sales company. I love the products and company, but can't always get comfortable with MLM - any insights?

What exactly is it that you can't get comfortable with? The comp plan? Finding customers vs recruits?
Never had any MLM experience before I joined my company for 3 years ago. I was just using the product until just recently but have been around so many people that are having success with doing the business that I needed to pursue it. So far it has been the best thing to happen to me and my financial security.

i think it is the stigma associated with MLM - I am sold on the products and just need to get over it. I am totally comf talking about products, but not always about the biz opp. I am thinking that with experience and confidence I will feel better about it.

I don't think the stigma is what it used to be in the general population. You will need to figure out how to change your mindset as it relates to MLM, though - or you will never get past this and people will hear it in your voice and through your words.

I read a post that a woman is working from home and she is liking it, only she is not able to get a feel for MLM.

First off putting a lable on your business probably isn't a way to begin. Here are some things you might want to do.

1) Do you love everything about your company and the products?
2) Do you use the products all over your home, give them as gifts and promote them?
3) Do you recommend your own products? Or do you shop at the local disc. store where everyone else see's you doing this?
4) Do you smile and enoy your work?
5) Do you treat this as "YOUR BUSINESS" or a little mlm, direct sales company?

The fact is most who get into a MLM company don't treat it like their own business. Not seriously loving and promoting the products.

Most fail because of this... I recommend going to the library and checking out Think and grow rich by Napoleon Hill. I am sure this book will help you see what you need to succeed.

Welcome to the forum I know you will like it here.... I have tried mlm but found it wasn't for me I just wasn't comfortable with it but everyone is different and I feel we all have our own strengths and talents not everyone will like the same thing good luck
