The way the economy is going, I do not think it is too exagerated to possibly expect the "old west" to make it's return. How will most people be able to survive, other than taking from the weak. For the first time, I have to agree with most of my friends that we have a mess on our hands. Some will like to hear this, some will not. I did vote for Pres. Bush and when I did, my mostly democratic family told me to just wait........I waited and low and behold, they were right.....our financial scenario is not as strong as it was and I am sure others are in the same position.

ANYWAY, what is the gas price in your area. In our town of Indiana, it is $3.48

I haven't bought gas in a week and I know it is going up. Honestly, I am afraid to look. If you hear of a large accident caused by someone driving by gas stations with her eyes closed, that was me.

I know what you are saying. I voted for Bush too and, while I am not ready to entirely abandon the republican party, a democratic presidential candidate may get my vote this time.

I'll open my eyes today and get back to your question about gas prices...

$3.05 in Cibolo TX. If a democrat comes into the whitehouse, gas prices will not magically go down. We are far too dependant on foreign governments and in competition with a lot of countries for the same fuel. It isn't going to go down until we start fixing the problem (new refineries here, more drilling, etc).

Agreed. I'm just looking for the lesser of 2 evils. Or maybe anything different than the current situation. Or someone whose personal wealth is not determined by oil prices.
