OK, so I exercise 6-7 days a week (I walk 10,000 steps aerobically- I walk without stopping until I hit the magic number and by the end of the day I've usually walked over 8 miles), I've been eating less and more carefully, and drinking water like a fish and I've gained 3 lbs this week! GRRRR!
But I can honestly say that after doing this for 2 weeks I do feel better. So it is worth keeping up, but considering I want to lose 80 lbs it is frustrating...

I'll bet that once it starts to come off, it'll seem like it just melts off. If not, maybe you'll want to check in with your Dr and have some bloodwork done just to make sure nothing else is going on.

Jeannine it's only been two weeks right? It's a lifestyle change, so it's something that isn't going to happen immediately. Stick with it girl...you will notice changes in time. I also agree with Melissa, maybe go in for a checkup also to make sure everything else is fine.

You've probably rehydrated yourself by drinking water, so it's probably a lot of water weight. Just try to be patient it's tough to start working out and expect results. If you haven't lost any weight in a month then consider consulting a doctor. Have you thought of counting calories?

Thanks- I am realizing that this will take time! But, dang, it would be nice if I could lose the weight and get in shape in a month

Stick with it, remember that it will take some time.

its gonna sound nuts but .... eat more

your body isn't going to let go of the fat if it feels like its not getting enough.

There's a great forum at 3fatchicks.com you might check out on weight loss, I hang out there, I've lost 15 lbs but it's taken time and persistence.

Measure on the days that you weigh-in. You may be losing inches instead of pounds.
