 I hope you feel better soon!I agree with some of the others - I mean May is a long way off, so maybe he'll be cooled down by then?

To err is human, and that's what we are. I'm soo sorry you're going through this trying time.  Maybe before he's back in May, things will have calmed down. If not, maybe this door closing is a necessity in order to discover something better. You just never know what the future holds. The thing your boss may not understand is that by behaving the way he is, he's adding so much stress to your performance that your odds of making another mistake have skyrocketed. Stress doesn't result in efficient or proficient employees. Again, I'm sorry your going through this! I know you must feel horrible, but I'm sure your boss has made his own share ofmistakes given that he's as human as you are. Wendy

Aw Terry! I'm sorry! Hey, look on the bright side. You learned a valuable lesson. If you never made a mistake, how could you possibly know right from wrong? So, instead of focusing on what what wrong, take that knowledge and make a right. You'll do great! ;-)

$4000 loss is nothing. It was an honest mistake, if he can't see the value you bring to the table, than you don't want to be working for a guy like that. I would bet it all that he has made mistakes that have cost more than $4000. Every person that I know that has achieved what I would call Substantial success recognizes that often success is built upon failures.
