Default At Home?

It appears that the former company At Home America is now At Home. It has new owners (since it went through bankruptcy). It looks to me like they are selling the acquired old stock and will be working with a new selling format. Hmmmmm.....

Arrow Hoping it Works Out!

I was wondering what was going on with them. Hopefully it all works out and that they don't make to many changes. Especially with the products. They do have a really nice line of products.

Interesting news! We did hear that the company was purchased. I am wondering how they will sell the inventory now that they do not have a sales team.

From the website, it looks like they are recruiting a new sales team. It's good that there are new owners and I wish them the best, but it must be difficult for reps from the former company to stomach signing up.

Since the company went through bankruptcy, I believe the debts of the prior owners no longer need to be paid. The new owners have no obligation to satisfy the claims of the former owners' customers and reps, which means those reps have either paid out of pocket to keep their former customers happy, or burned a lot of bridges with their former customers.

It's just such a tough situation.

There was another thread on this subject. Looks like they are going strictly online sales, no parties. I can't imagine being a former At Home America consultant and wanting to continue to promote for the new owners, especially if what you say is true Liz and they don't have to settle up former debts, and fulfill customer and consultant orders etc and what about team commissions? Were those not paid as well.. Seems as though the consultants were left high and dry with a lot of unhappy customers. It also seems like they are "re-opening" really soon after the closing of the other company. You have to wonder how long this has been "in the works" without the consultants' knowledge.

Today they announced
"Calling all FORMER AHA HomeStyle Specialists, our new firm At Home is giving all former reps until November 15th to register as a new Lifestyle Consultant and maintain your downline. Signing up is FREE the rest of 2012."

I am confused by this if the old AHA is no longer and this At Home is a totally new company how would a previous AHA consultant be able to maintain their old downline?

Don't get me wrong I would love for there to be more home decor companies developing and flurishing I just am confused by how the new At Home is going about it. Are there any new At Home reps on here?

Hi, I am an AtHome stylist the company was indeed sold at auction and was purchased by 2 gentleman - it is now a 100% online business - website only - and we are in a soft launch phase - the company will fully launch in Jan. Please feel free to pm me if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them.

Blessings, Lisa
