I love young living, and they have the best EO's in my book. Doterra was started by former employees of Young Living. I really like the oils from piping rock.com, although not a mlm company, there prices are great. Swiss Just is a party plan company, and they also sell awesome oils. I would talk to reps and get free samples. I had some sent to me, and it really helped in choosing where I wanted to spend my money. I don't sell EO's yet, but I am seriously looking into it. Good luck.

Verefina offers a fairly large line of essential oils and just added lemongrass and ginger. I know there are great oils out there and I can only go by my personal experience as I've used doTERRA but haven't used YL. I can confidently say I cannot tell the difference between ours and doTERRA. I have several team members that are certified aromatherapists and they speak highly of our oils. I've heard Mountain Herbs has great oils too. There's a new EO company and someone posted a few days ago but I can't remember the name?

NYR Organic has been in the essential oil business since 1981.
All their plant extracts and essential oils are approved by the UK's Soil Association, which is internationally recognized for their high standards, though NYR sources globally, ingredients may be certified at source by a number of similar international organizations such as USDA NOP, Ecocert, Skal, etc. No oils are ever diluted. They are pure Here's a great piece of info where you can see who was in compliance and who wasn't when 3rd party testing took place by a world renowned expert. Note this is just 1 oil( peppermint) 3rd Party Test Results for Peppermint Essential Oil | Learning About EOs - Using Essential Oils Safely On a personal note, I have used oils from local health food stores that were very good but I prefer NYR now, not only for their prices but because I know they are pure and grown in organic farms and in the plants' native countries too. :-) We have many health pros, chiros, facialists and therapists that are consultants and love the NYR line. |

I think everyone has to try the different ones for themselves and go with what speaks to them and gives them the best results. For me, it's doTERRA. I certainly haven't tried all brands, but I've been a massage therapist since 1997 and have tried several over the years. It's a personal decision and everyone is different. Essential oils are wonderful and I use mine every day in one way or another from cooking to cleaning to relaxing to massage, for boo boos & colds, etc. There's a lot of mud slinging in the EO world and I keep myself far removed from it all. I go by what I know has worked for me & my family knowing that there are also other great brands on the market. I tell everyone to go with their gut, but do find a reputable, high quality, pure brand if you're going to use them.
![]() Plant Therapy seems to be another really good brand. I've gotten a few oils from them that I can't get through doTERRA. They are also very reasonably priced. Good luck & take care! Jenn |

After using EOs for 10 years and trying almost all the brands out there, although not NYR Organic yet, I am a Young Living fan.
There are allegations and lawsuits flying and I'm sure there is a mid ground of truth somewhere. Not my problem to figure out, although I do have an opinion, which I'll keep to myself. For me, the bottom line is that Young Living has farms and controls most (not all) of their products from the ground, through production, to the sale. I like that, but you may not care about that. I like the growing factor, maybe because I can't keep anything green alive, lol. I'm just glad that people are seeing the EO light. There's room in the ever expanding market for each company, whether they are 20+ years old, or brand new. Deb |

One of my friends, who I introduced to Doterra, her father has Stage 4 Liver and Colon Cancer that has metastasized to his abdomen. His CEA (cancer growth rate was 4672 on Jan 5, 5594 on Feb 3, and 1000 Mar 3 and was able to go home for the first time since November. For the past six weeks, he started a new chemo and about the same time, she convinced him to start half a dose DDR Prime and Zendocrine. Now he wants to start the full dose and see what happens. Her mother in law just found out she has uterine cancer, and requested to start with the oils to see how they will help her with the hysterectomy and cancer treatment. I think there is lots of room out there for the different oil companies. Especially now that Synthetic Antibiotics are becoming strain resistant, and the oils like Oregano aren't. And with the way healthcare is now being run, people are looking for a more natural alternative and are taking control of their health now more than ever! Feel free to contact me for more information about doTerra. I'd love to talk to you more about it. [email protected] |

Another fan of Young Living here too.
I am currently studying Aromatherapy and Animals, and am impressed with the information available to support me and feel confident using YL oils with my animals. The quality of the oils is superb and I am really pleased to be able to share my findings with others to help them with alternatives to chemicals on their pets. ps, I have a FREE Aromatherapy guide to anyone interested, pm me and I will send you the download link Last edited by Angela in Oz; 03-28-2014 at 12:44 PM. |
