Default Personal Training Business

Hey everybody, I have a very curious question about how much personal trainers make. I have been working as a financial adviser for the last 10 years and I'm strongly looking to change career paths. My true passion is Health and Fitness. I would love to help others achieve their fitness goals. For this, I was thinking about becoming a personal trainer. The only real question is, how much can I actually make as a personal trainer? Also, what are the best ways to make money? Would it be working in a large commercial gym such as 24 Hour Fitness? Would it be working on my own with clients either in my house or theirs (or even Outdoors). It would be much appreciated if anybody that has experienced personal training can give their input. Thank you all!"

Smile Career Options

I'm currently a life insurance agent, but health & wellness is my passion, so I also began working with a company that shows people how to get healthy with nutrition products, and I do it on the side, part-time.

I'm guessing you'd need personal training certifications, and a relationship with a gym, to start working in that field. And it would probably be tough to do on the side.

Please let us know what you end up doing!!

Smile Personal Trainer

Hello,
I would recommend going out on your own. You'll make more money this way. If you can work with a mentor in helping you after you take the exam that is best. I have been training people for over 15 years. I absolutely love it! I would be more than happy to help mentor anyone.
