Default Strength training DVDs

Can anyone suggest some good beginner strength training DVDs? I have about 50 lbs to lose and most of the DVDs I see out on the market are way to advanced.

I am a Les Mills Certified Instructor (I don't teach pump) and they are the best. Pump is great for beginners. It's an 60 minute class so if an hour is too much for you start off doing 4-5 tracks and work your way up. There is a formula to choosing which pump tracks to do (if you are going to be doing up to 5 tracks)...I'll ask one of the instructors which tracks (each track focuses on a different muscle group) they do.

Thanks dugsmom, but I looked at it and I can't afford that right now. I'm really just looking for one or two beginner dvds that use dumbbells.

I don't purchase DVD's since I teach at a gym but I used to. I loved Ellen Barrett...she has one called "Burn and Firm Pilates." It's standing Pilates with light weights. It's a mixture of cardio (low impact and great for beginners) with strength training. I think you can purchase the dvd for less than 10 dollars. I recommend looking for other like that ( I don't know if she has any new dvd's) so that way you can change the workout to keep your muscles guessing and working hard.

I just googled it and it's on youtube. Someone posted it there. The quality of the video isn't great but it's not terrible. Also, you should check your library to see what they have. Most libraries usually have a nice collection of exercise DVD's.

I'm curently using The Trainer's Edge: Integrated Strength Training DVD by Jeffrey Scott to practice everyday. I've been using it for a couple of months. The result satisfies me too much. You should try this.

Don't forget about good ol' walking Barb. Fighters and jockeys making weight walk miles and miles and consider it a fantastic way to burn fat. Easy. Free. Repeatable. Start slow and build up to longer distances and faster cadence.

Thanks online Sam. I do walk daily (not as good in the winter time). Just wanted some strength training suggestions.
