I signed up also. I just took my body measurements since I don't weigh myself until I go to the doctor's office (too tempting to have a scale around).

I don't think you really have to go to Bally's but I could be wrong. The closest Bally's to me is about 20 mins but I just plan to start walking my neigborhood first.

I know you don't have to go to Ballys. It would just be really nice to have a 8 week pass to a gym for free, lol. The gyms that are in my town have a $75 joining fee plus around $35 a month. I would love a gym membership but cannot afford it.

I might try it anyways and see how I do. All I want to lose is the lovely 15 pounds that I put on between October and now, maybe 20 pounds would be nice too. I hate the holidays! I always put on weight every single year and then have to work my butt off to get back in shape in time for bikini season.

My dh and his sister make me so mad sometimes, they eat and eat and eat and never gain a pound! Not me, I eat the pumpkin pie right along with them and gain 5 pounds GRRR!

I already belong to Bally's so I don't need the pass :-)

It looks like a great challenge, though and I am probably going to sign up.

I also signed up, but the thing they don't tell you is this is part of the membership costs. For me, with this 8 week deal, I get half off the membership and pay like $32 a month, with a month free or something. They also threw in the meal planning and one of those things where they take your measurements, etc. I don't plan on doing that, but I do plan on staying a member. I lost 20 pounds on my own since Dec. 1 and I am seeing a man who likes to hike. I would really like to hike with him!
Not to mention if this relationship gets romantic how much more fun it will be. Hehe.
I went to Bally's today and one of the trainers put me on a machine that I said I didn't think I could do - I just wanted to walk on the treadmill for an hour since my appointment with the trainer for my specific program isn't until Thursday. I have a bad knee on my left side and sciatica on my right side. So he put me on and messed up my knee so badly! And now the sciatica is acting up! Not giving up, though! They're gonna have to set me on fire before I give up on my goal!
