Do you have to use the resistance bands? I am planning on buying the Turbo Jam 5 dvd set from Craigslist but it doesn't come with the resistance bands that they show on TV. Are they worth it? Does it make a difference?

This is just my personal experience...

When I do Turbo Jam or any other Beachbody/Video workout, 99% of the time i've used dumbells. The resistance bands that I have are the Gold's Gym brand and I got them at Wal-mart.

I think you will get results using either.

There are the Turbo Jam experts here and i'm sure they will be buy with what works for them.

You definately need something to do the resistance workouts. I like both personally. With the bands you have more control than with free weights, but there's only so high their resistance goes. With free weights you can progress to higher weights. I prefer bands because I find it challenges me more than free weights. I'm currently debating on whether or not to buy more weights, or more bands lol.
