This is kinda last minute, but would anyone be interested in joining me on the WOMAN Challenge? (Women and girls Out Moving Across the Nation)

This May, thousands of women across the country will embark on an eight-week walking challenge for better health. They will be part of the WOMAN Challenge-that is Women and girls Out Moving Across the Nation. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health is coordinating the WOMAN Challenge to encourage women to get 30 minutes of moderate activity most days of the week and to kick off the eighth annual National Women's Health Week (May 13-19, 2007).

This free eight week challenge encourages women and girls to walk 10,000 steps or get 30 minutes of moderate physical activity every day. The WOMAN Challenge begins on Mother's Day, May 13, and ends on July 8, 2007.

I have created a team called Move It Mama if anyone is interested in joining me. You don't have to join the team to participate. Here's the web site: http://www.womenshealth.gov/woman/index.cfm. Hope to see you there!

PS When you are trying to find the team, it might ask for state... I'm in Maryland (MD), but you don't have to be in MD to be on the team!

Ok, I'm on your team. I'm going Cross Country. I'll have to wait until I get to work on Monday to download. This dial-up just won't work right! So, Sunday is Day 1 - I'm Ready!!!!

I forgot to add... I'm pretty sure any movement counts, it doesn't just have to be walking. So strap on those pedometers and join us.

Yep, any activity counts! I wanted to make sure all the gardening, planting, raking, etc. I did yesterday counted and the site said it does.

I just checked in and logged my minutes for yesterday. 180 total WOW

I'm wondering if there is a reminder service so I don't forget to log my activity each day. I have a few challenges/contests to keep up with so it would make it easier
