Hi, everyone. I've been browsing the forums for the last few years, but I only just joined today. I sold Avon once upon a time (well, twice upon a couple times) but I had a pushy DM and I don't like the hectic-ness of that. So I've been looking for something to do on the side in between my full time job and the thousand other things I do. I ended up at a Doterra thing a couple days ago and long story short, I got hooked. So I signed up. I like that I can start off slowly and the only start up cost was the kit I wanted to buy anyway, and that there aren't different products or catalogs all the time. I also checked out all the tools they have online, and they are pretty great. So I ordered the family physician kit and can't wait to get it in.
I have a couple customers already, and I guess I am wanting tips on getting going and starting to build a customer base without being all super crazy gung ho just yet. I don't want to be that girl that says "OMGZORS therez an oyul for that!" every time someone stubs a toe near me, even if there is. Or some general tips on the oils, and sharing them. Thanks! |

Thanks for the response! I already knew the benefits of some things like lavender, peppermint, lemon, orange...you know, the common ones. But she put some cassia on my neck (herniated disc) and after a couple minutes, it didn't hurt at all and I could rotate my neck much further than usual. That is a big deal. That's what hooked me into buying and signing up. She sent me home with a sample bottle of it. It's amazing.
Anyway, I saw a lot of groups out there on Facebook. Can you recommend some good ones? You can send me a private message if necessary. |

Yay! Welcome to doTERRA!! I absolutely LOVE hearing stories like that about the cassia! For my family it started with a blend of lavender and melaleuca for my daughter's ear infection. Then after my father in law passed away, we used Elevation on my husband. And then....okay I won't keep going. But I could! Ha! Lora is right about becoming "that person" about oils. The more you try, the more you find yourself talking about it. You just can't help it! ;-)
Facebook is a great resource. Wellness Advocates Sharing Page is a good group on there. Almost 70,000 consultants sharing information about doterra. Also, Pinterest has some great blends and uses. Plugging into a local group of also a good idea if you have one. |
