How exciting for you! Please share with us what you're learning. I love essential oils/aromatherapy too.

Lucky...I wanted to do that too, but you have to be a massage therapist, I understand first.

I really LOVE the oils so much, already out of my lemon!

Each state is different, but to my understanding in order to charge for the treatment you have to have a license to touch (massage, chiro, etc). However, I hear some reps offer it as a complimentary service to reinforce the benefits of the oils and some charge only for the oils used. Also, anyone can learn the technique for personal use within their family. I am a massage therapist, but it's important to check the laws in your own state before promoting the service professionally. I can't wait to go and spend the day learning more about how to use our wonderful oils and come home to practice on my family! My mom is in town, so she will enjoy being a guinea pig before she leaves.

Oh, that is good to know. I am a licensed esthetician. I was hoping to incorporate the AromaTouch into my facials.
Cant wait to hear how it goes for you.

Yay! Since you hope to incorporate it into your skin care biz, I'll share a couple of things she pointed out in class...

She said it is best to keep it as a stand alone treatment vs adding it onto another session (like following a massage in my case) because it can overwhelm the body. She also told us that the steps should be followed exactly as laid out in the instructions. Even though the technique is very simple for anyone to learn, it is designed the way it is for very specific reasons and varying the steps can affect the results. Basically, don't add any of your own little personal touches that you may have developed in your practice. This was hard for me as a LMT! I found myself wanting to go to work on knots & my hands were wanting to do their own thing sometimes. I had to keep reminding myself to stick to the system!
