Which would be a nice theory, except for the fact that Hilary released her delegates to vote for him the weekof the convention. Gives the appearance of an unanimous vote.

I was talking about when they were doing role call and the secretary would ask how each state was voting. Depsite Hilary asking for her followers to vote for Obama some still voted for Hilary. There weren't very many unanimous votes, but Il. was one of them, it his state.

My understanding from the commentary I heard prior to the election that was done out of respect for Hillary and was preplanned. It was done to show respect for the fact she had in fact won delegates but that the majority would of course be given to Obama so there would be a clear unified choice. There wasn'ta fight on the floor based on how it was explained before the convention started, unless you have something documented otherwise, that's how they were expecting it to go.

I do think that Bush will get a much more postive look if Obama comes to office.

I've yet to see a real rewrite of the Carter years. Most people just try to skip from Ford to Regean and forget that there was that Democratic President in between.

The Clinton years were good... George H. Bush was forced to raise taxes (because of desert storm) even though he had promised he wouldn't but what happened was because of his tax increase people turned on him.. but it allowed Clinton to step in with an excess of money and it all looked good from there.

I would have considered Hillary... not B.O. Ugh, I can't see that man being in the Commander and Chief of my country.
