Welcome Neah, I would suggest that you read this entire thread, I read it several times in the beginning. There is a lot of helpful hints and tips that would help you. What I did was to use a plastic cutting board, drilled a hole to hold the mandrel so I have 2 free hands. I hold the top of the mandrel where the starter bundle is with my left hand (I'm right handed) and with the other hand I use needle nosed pliers to pull the wire tight. I haven't ever heard of the wire breaking, maybe you should ask the help desk about that problem. But about adding wire, you must use one 70" piece of wire for each chain as stated in the Interchangeable Wrist Wrap Instructions for your work to be eligible for the resell program. In the other instructions, the Comprehensive Training Guide, it does show you how to add wire for you own designs, but don't use it for your sample, it will NOT be acceptable.

Happy Weaving!!

Lynne

thanks for the quick response. i've pretty much read trough the whole thread before i signed up for tips & tricks and to make sure it wasn't a scam :). i've already emailed them, I just haven't heard back yet. I sure hope they have some good tips cause every time i think my loops are small enough they get to big once i pull it trough the draw plate

thank you so much!! the pictures help alot. I did hear back from them last night and they said the sample they sent out is alot tighter then most ppl get it, so i should just concentrate on getting it tighter then my first sample (shouldn't be hard, since my first sample is pretty loose). They haven't heard of the wire breaking either so i guess i was just trying to make it too tight :/
here is a pic with my chain i finished last night next to the sample http://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/...ps85455aaf.jpg

thanks lynne, I did get approved finally!! I do have to improve my end loops.. closing the last one is kind of tricky. Does anyone maybe have some tips to get the last one in a nice teardrop & keeping it all tight? :)
