It's always a challenge to get going and having the necessary funds. You could always try selling some no longer needed items on eBay to earn some funds or even have a yard sale.

kind of!
I paint canvases and furniture (and murals)... I have an etsy account but havent started selling on there yet. I just think etsy is the place everyone goes to buy handmade items. I have friends who sell their products at vendor's booths at fairs, markets, or in shops where you can rent a space, those are big here in NC, but we didn't have things like that back home in OH! |

I have a niece that makes handmade bracelets. She sells them at the local convenience store and makes a little money. I have told her that are places such as Etsy and Handmadecatalog.com but didn't know if she would make less money because of fees charged..Has anyone had any success with online companies that they could tell us about/ Thanks.

I've sold crafts mostly on Etsy and at Craft Fairs.

I've done selling on Etsy for 2 years, fairly loosely, and am just now starting to work on picking up more business since my kiddos are getting older. I love Etsy because the fees are low and it's fairly user friendly.
