Hello,

I just bought my first set of crosses to make a week and a half ago and have sold about 8 of them for 10.00 each.. Anyone have had any success with Christian shops in their local area. If so, how did it happen?

Is there anything you are doing that is helping you sell these easier? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I'm really enjoying making these crosses. They pretty sold themselves at work. I wore my cross to work and people were drawn to it, asked about it, and wanted to buy one.

Thanks,

Xenia

I believe there are some DC people in our crafting folder. I'll move this there so everyone can answer.

Hello there! I'm not a DC producer but I saw that no one had answered
your reply and thought I would look around for you. A few suggestions...

1) actually try their buy back program...I'm kind of curious to see if it
works

2) some larger churches have gift shops/cafes

3) there are usually bake/craft sales at most churchesyou could check
into those

4) go to a consignment type shop...they get a littleyou get the rest

Anyway, hope it helps. If you don't mind PM me about the start up
fees...how long it actually takes to make them...it looked pretty
interesting.Good luck, hope to hear from you soon!

Hi

I am also considering signing up with DC. But being in Canada I am unable to take part in the buyback system. I intend on selling directly thru craft fairs, trade shows and local churches. If I am brave enough I will approach some of the ChristianBookstores in my area.

I had been reading alot about how they are delayed in sending out payments. They had a big backup after hurricane Katrina -but I'm not sure if that is still an issue.

Take Care

Lisa

I just purchased a kit on Friday and I'm anxiously awaiting it. Does it really take just 5 minutes to make them? I hope this will be a good opportunity for me.Edited by: momofthreekids

It takes John Raymond only 5 min to make. I'm guessing it would takeme longer initially but after a while I can see my time improving.

Let me know how things go with your kit. I haven't ordered yet-I have to wait for my funds in paypal to clear

I did my first 25 crosses.. It took me at least 25 minutes for the first 10 or so, and then I noticed that I was getting a little faster. The best thing about it is, that my mind went into a mental break.. I felt so refreshed mentally by the time I went to work on Monday. Anyways, expect to make some mistakes until you find your technique and learn from your mistakes. It's not very hard at all.. I wear the crosses myself.. You know one color that matches my outfit one day and the next day another that matches that outfit.. I really enjoyed making my first 25 crosses and I'm anxiously awaiting my next order of 75 crosses.. I'm going to send the first 25 crosses this weekend to see how long it takes to get any response. So far, with the ordering of crosses, they have been very punctual.. I will let you all know how this works for me. God Bless!!!

Xenia, thanks for the update. I got my kit yesterday after just ordering it on Friday! That was quick! I watched the video last night and was totally lost until the close up shots. I think I'll be able to do this with much practice. I already started in my sleep last night, since that's all I dreamt about. My goodness! I must have done at least my first 25 crosses!

By the way, don't you have to send in 3 for inspection first, or did I just make that up? I couldn't find that in the instructions at all, but for some reason I thought they had to examine the first 3 before you sent in anymore.
