Hello, I'm new, and I would first like to say this is a very informitive board... I have been looking for home work for some time... I just got taken by Tiny Details, their work is impossible, so I've lost out on that job, not worth the stress.... But now, I have found this Desciples Cross. I have made up a list to retail this product, and differant sales angles to attack to make the quickest profit turn-a-round possible.... The bills are catching up too me, and need to act fast before thing start getting shut off, again...

Anyway, could some one please tell me what the recent time table has been with the buy back program? I am going to get the kit from DC, and use the buy back program, and also buy supplies from Autorized-DC-Nail, which seem to be on the ball.... I'd just like to do both, just a sense of security, I HOPE,lol..

Well, thanks in advance, and have a profitable day...

kidz_n_fashion, How would I order under you, if you dont mind?

Hello all I am as my siggie says a budding WAHM. My dh and I are both into making nursing necklaces, simple glass bead designs {we are taking classes to learn more complicated design techniques} and are considering candle making but in our current home simply don't have the space to make them...

Anyways, I have heard alot about DC's and think they would be a wonderful, simple addition to my intended product line. We are still in the initial stages, making some necklaces, researching craft shows, and talking to people to try and build intrest, but we truly want to make a go of this and DC's sound like they would be a great fit.....

Christy, I checked out your website and I like it alot we are still trying to find a website host, designer, and all of that that will fit into our intial budget {$179/month toward expenses & supplies} but eventually want an easy to read & nav site like that. You will likely have another rep under your belt as soon as I'm done researching and we get our other bills paid for next month..

These are my main questions:

1. What does the initial cost include kit-wise?

2. How much are additional supplies?

3. What kind of price should we expect to pay for a small booth at an indoor flea market? Preferably one with electrical so we can keep a cash register and microwave/mini fridge with us?

4. $4,000 per month? Net income? Please tell me more?

5. How does one go about small biz taxes for these things? As someone else stated, I want to do this as legally as possible, and am totally unsure how to do it.

3. What kind of price should we expect to pay for a small booth at an indoor flea market?

4. $4,000 per month? Net income? Please tell me more?

5. How does one go about small biz taxes for these things? As someone else stated, I want to do this as legally as possible, and am totally unsure how to do it.

any more info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I can't asnwer all your questions but in my area to rent a booth at an indoor flea market cost $75 a day, there is also a outside flea market and they charge $25 a dayfor boothe, and $45 a dayfor a covered boothe, table costare $5 per table and pay sales tax to the office as weyou leave. There is money to be made at a flea market, I once sold avon and made a couple houndred in a few hours, it was really cold so I had to go.

Each area is different, if this is something of interest to you call the your local flea markets in your area for a price quote. Edited by: nancoy

Do I have to sign up for a starter kit first, before I can market the crosses? Like get Authourized first by DC, then get my supplies from Nailbenders, or just get the supplies and sell? I need to make the cash fast, cant wait for weeks.,lol..

Okay, I will try to answer everyone's questions, but you'll get faster answers if you PM me if I miss something here.

You will likely have another rep under your belt as soon as I'm done researching and we get our other bills paid for next month.. I make my own website using www.geocities.com It's cheap and easy.

These are my main questions:

1. What does the initial cost include kit-wise? $69.99 + shipping and it makes 25 crosses.

2. How much are additional supplies? After shipping, you can figure it costs about $1.25 to make each cross.

3. What kind of price should we expect to pay for a small booth at an indoor flea market? Preferably one with electrical so we can keep a cash register and microwave/mini fridge with us? It depends on your area. I pay $60 for an entire weekend with a metal shed roof. I do have electricity. You'd really just have to see what's in your area.

4. $4,000 per month? Net income? Please tell me more? I don't know where you got $4000, it should be $2000 and that is based on using the buy back program and sending in (and having accepted) 400 crosses a week. That isn't realistic. However, if you sell them on your own, it is possible to make that if you sell 400 in a month.

5. How does one go about small biz taxes for these things? As someone else stated, I want to do this as legally as possible, and am totally unsure how to do it. You should go to the irs website and your local state comptrollers office. They are your best resource for that information.

Which is also how you become a Certified Producer. Without it, youare stealing a patented design and trademarked named and there are legal issues you'd have to deal with. Like get Authourized first by DC, then get my supplies from Nailbenders, or just get the supplies and sell? I need to make the cash fast, cant wait for weeks.,lol.. It won't take weeks to get your start up kit from DC. You can pay a little extra and get faster shipping. BUt their regular shipping will take about a week. Also, you cannot get the official DC tags from DC nailbenders and "getting authorized by DC" means buying the startup kit. It's one in the same.

from your post earlier on this thread where you said
Quote:
I also go to a local flea market/trade show in my area once a month and depending on the weather, I sell anywhere from 100 to 500. That's a profit after the booth rental and all of about [b]$850 to $4000.

I checked on site rental at the flea markets and it's going to run me around $119 per weekend for one big enough for us, our product and supplies. I also checked on the yahoo group and I'll be going more into that here in a bit when the kids are asleep.
