Food Lion is 6%, not 60%. But still worth knowing about, thanks. I shop at Food Lion every week and never knew this--just looked it up on line. So you have motivated me to shop at Food Lion on Mondays instead of Saturdays when possible!

Agree ! YOU must ASK for your discount ----
no ask, no discount. There are all kinds of discounts for seniors. The age often varies as to when you can qualify for a senior discount but it is usually 50 as it is with AARP members, or sometimes 55 or even 60+. Often just showing a driver’s license or other identification will allow you a senior discont but many establishments and services ask you to register to get a card identifying you as a senior eligible for any senior discount they offer. |

What I hate is the fact that you must ask because heck, once you reach the age of getting/receiving, most of us forget that we're even eligible!
