Default Easy Baked Salmon

Salmon is my favorite fish. Not only is it delicious and healthy (wild salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids which are good for your health), it is also very easy to cook. Here are a few recipes for baked salmon.

What you need for any baked salmon recipe:
A fresh fillet of salmon. Look for wild salmon like Copper River. WilIf you can't get wild salmon, farm raised is fine. Wild salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids).
A baking pan long enough to hold your salmon fillet.
Aluminum foil. This is optional. It makes clean up easier. Use it to line your pan.

Simple Baked Salmon
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees farenheit.
  2. LIne your baking pan with the aluminum foil.
  3. Rinse your salmon fillet and place it pink side up on top of the foil in the pan.
  4. Sprinkle the top of your salmon with a little bit of salt (optional).
  5. Bake your salmon until done. Your salmon will be done when the flesh of the fish has changed from translucent and the juices between the layers of salmon are white, not clear, and the layers flake easily.
Lemon Pepper Salmon
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees farenheit.
  2. LIne your baking pan with the aluminum foil.
  3. Rinse your salmon fillet and place it pink side up on top of the foil in the pan.
  4. Sprinkle the top of your salmon with a little bit of lemon pepper seasoning salt.
  5. Bake your salmon until done. Your salmon will be done when the flesh of the fish has changed from translucent and the juices between the layers of salmon are white, not clear, and the layers flake easily.
Baked Salmon with Lemon and Caper Sauce
This is simple baked salmon accompanied with a lemon and caper sauce. To make this recipe follow these steps:
  1. Prepare the simple baked salmon shown above.
  2. To make the lemon and caper sauce follow these steps:
  3. In a bowl combine 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1/2 cup of plain yogurt, 2 tbsp of lemon juice, and 2 tbsp of capers.
  4. Stir well.
  5. Serve with the simple baked salmon.
