I totally agree! Now that I am at home with my son, I take the time to cook everything from scratch. No more gross cream of whatever soups ! It really does taste better, and I feel better about what my family is eating.

Not only do I cook from scratch, I try to grow what I cook (well, veggies anyway)
Ive been watching the cooking videos on swagbucks and its taught me SO much. First thing I did was buy my first set of SHARP knives. Have no idea how I got along without them! Then I bought a pasta machine and made my very first homemade pasta (its FUN) Also tastes so much better! Especially in homemade soup Dang.... now Im hungry, hehe Bonnie ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Oh, yes! We grow veggies in our garden every summer too. Nothing better than a home grown tomato! Yum!

I cook from scratch as much and as often as I can. Not just for taste, but I just feel it is so much more fun and I like knowing what I am eating. I tried growing my own veggies last year, but failed. This is a new year though, so maybe I will give it another shot!

We usually cook from scratch and had a nice garden. We moved though so we don't have any room for a garden now. I still like getting fresh fruits and vegetables.

i agree... cooking from scratch does taste much better... only problem is that you need to keep HEAPS of herbs and spices on hand...

My step-daughter once looked in the fridge and said, "There's no food here, only ingredients!"

I cook from scratch much more than I used to. Thankfully I like to cook. I have to limit my salt intake, and prepared foods are very salty. It only took a few weeks to lose my taste for salt. Now foods I used to think were delicious are too salty! And I am healthier!
