Hi Tiffany
![]() You do have many people you run into. You can make up scent samples and attach your business card or hand them a brochure with your contact information... however you would like to do it. There are numerous candle companies to chose from. I, of course, love my company and would love to tell you about it. But every consultant from every company loves their products too. Just search through the forums, ask questions, look at the products, and see which company you are drawn to the most. Best wishes in your search in finding the right home business for you ![]() |

I definitely agree with these ladies and the answer is if you're savvy with the internet it will be easier. Even if you're not but willing to learn new skills, you definitely can, but it will take some time to gain traffic to our site, build an audience on social media, etc. Selling products directly is always the best way to earn money sooner than later. That's one of the perks of a direct sales business but recognizing that we're so social these days, incorporating multi channels into your business is best. I'm a prolific blogger and do almost 100% online and sponsored 7 new team members in July alone. And I have one of the largest teams in my company. So yes, it's definitely achievable. That said, I've been blogging for over 3 years so that certainly helps with gaining traffic

There are lots of people working their business totally on line but you have to be really good with internet marketing. There are other ways to work the business besides parties such as fundraisers. Since you work and go to school full-time you come in contact with lots of people to show the business to. You could do catalog parties with the people you are in contact with daily. Mia Bella has a great profit margin.
Let me know if you have any questions. Best of luck. |

I also work my biz entirely online. Pay is commensurate with effort. Ability to earn a full time income with just using online is determined by time invested daily as well as internet marketing skill set. Without a hefty dose of both, it'll be difficult to thrive on just online. You'd realistically need to add other platforms as well.

Hi tiffany you can make money online selling candles however, i think it is much more difficult to do than selling in person. I do get internet orders here and there, but as other posters mentioned you have to be computer savy and really get out there and promote your website.
You can make money in the candle and any business really by doing fairs, and other events that get your name out there. I am finding with my business, I sell for pink zebra, that samples are a great help. I have our sprinkles attached to a business card, and often time i get orders from that and also have done some online parties. Something you might want to get into is fundraisers. See if the company offers that option. Pink zebra has a separate program for that, and it is another way you can make money without doing parties. If there is a will there is a way! LOL Best of luck to you. Karen |

HI Tiffany!
Glad to see you looking into candles as a way to add an income. No one can predict the outcome of another, it's all about what you put into it. My experience in Pink Zebra after having been in direct sales for 20+ years surprised me because most of my business has been online! I was surprised because I joined for the fun of getting out and meeting people hosting unique parties... Trust me I'm very happy that online is working out well! Having products that are unique, promote and sell themselves is what makes the online aspect a success. My husband and I have been fortunate in that his business is online only also.. He had a severe injury in the line of duty and online business has been a savior to us over the years. Now with the two of us we are building to replace the lost income. It's very important to know that even with direct sales it is a business and they do take time to develop and grow. Many have quick success and many it takes a year or two.. I feel the key is not giving up, find something that you can truly enjoy and have belief in and build relationships with people. I hope this helps you out in your decision! Have a great day! Yes, I totally agree with everyone who has commented above me, you can sell candles or just about anything online.
Many people still do the parties only, some do a combination of both, and others market strictly online. We do about 90% online and still do the occasion fair and festival whenever one comes around our area. Being a mother and student as you are, you know how valuable your time is, do you really have time to plan and throw a party to sell your candles. If you do that is great, but marketing online gives you the freedom to work when-ever you have time, once the kids have gone to bed or when you finish homework. Its almost 1 am on the east coast and here I am talking about my candle business, this is first chance I have had to get online today, but there is no way I could have had a party this late. You can definitely market candles online, how you do it is a another thing, you need to have a sponsor/coach who specializes in online marketing and can cater their advice and training towards your needs. You wouldn't want to sign up under someone who knows nothing about internet marketing and still wants you to make a list and harass them with phone calls and emails until they block your number or make a purchase. Good Luck, You Can Do It!! |
