I've been saving mine in a txt document, but I'm going to check out lastpass.com too.

I've heard of it before but was a little skeptical, thanks for the recommendation!

GREAT post!! I get frustrated with so many different passwords as well. I have a recipe box with cards with sites our family uses (Redbox, shopping sites, etc.) with the passwords written on each, alphabetically, for all those sites. Nobody other then us would ever find that as it's in a hidden spot that only we four know where it is. There isn't any of our banking information in it though. As for just things I use, I keep them in my iPhone for now. I have a lock code on my phone, but...I'm sure that's not fool proof either. I'm going to check into lastpass (is that what you called it? I'll have to look back!) now also. Thanks so much!!

I save my passwords in an excel spreadsheet. I use to use LastPass but
didn't feel comfortable with them hosting it on their servers so i quit using
them. I would rather keep them locally.

years ago I did make lists, but now I let my browser do the remembering and if it gets wiped, simply just hit the 'forgot password' button and go from there which I find much faster than searching down my information.

Default Similar Passwords

All of my passwords are pretty similar. I have my usernames saved in a spreadsheet on my computer and have a column for password hints. Each hint plays on the variation of password I use.

Default I use....

I use a index card holder to store all of my passwords. I can keep it on my desk & add to it as I need to. I can also take out as I need to.

I use index card for each project/business I am working on. They keep all of my passwords. Became big fan of index cards in school and still find them valuable.
