Default Quick Tip on Posting Online

I have noticed a ton that a lot of people on forums and blogs will post about family issues, vent about jobs/clients, etc. and I just want to remind people that ANYONE can read what you put out on the net.

A lot of people on the forum here are looking for jobs and I'm shocked at what some of them will post about their current jobs and clients. That has held me back from hiring MANY writers who come on here. It's a real shame!

We all should be very careful what we put on the WWW because it will always be there. Deleting it doesn't do a darn thing...once it's live on the net, it's done!

So next time you post something anywhere online take a few minutes to think it through, it could do a lot more harm than good.

Just a quick public service announcement

Great PSA Angie! You never know who is reading and watching. Even to see if they want to join you in a business.

This is great advice and something that I do not think that many think about. Especially when applying to jobs, the employer can easily search your name and possibly find forum posts that you have done. Be careful and edit before you hit publish.

Exactly! And my hubby manages 3 physician's offices and does that very thing. He said you would be truly amazed at what he finds when he researches anyone who applies for a job with them. Obviously most are never hired

Thank you for putting this out there. I am appalled at what people put in writing for the whole world to see. I am constantly telling my teenage granddaughter that this isn't a cozy little note you are writing to a best friend. It's is an open door to your private thoughts and feelings. People have no concept of how far reaching one of the statements will be.
