New to WAHM and Looking to start working from home

Hi, I am new to WAHM and am looking for any advice as to working from home and sifting through all the scams out there. I am not one to get into anything lightly and I refuse to pay someone to work for them (that's just crazy). But I am interested in some advice from some experienced moms out there. Any and all advice will be appreciated.

You will find lots of good advice here, if you are looking for a job from home and not a business from home you should probably start in the telecomuting moms folder!

Hi Crystal welcome to wahm! If your looking for a job you can check out the
Telecommuting Moms folder jobs are posted there daily. You will have to research these offers for your own safety.

You will also want to keep in mind if it is a business opportunity there will be start up fees and monthly fee's too. But your right on the fact that you shouldn't have to pay to get information for a job. Good luck in your search!

Start with your interest. What do you like to do? Any hobbies? Do you like to sell? Make sure do your research and yes, there are scam out there and you just need to know before hand before you give them your money. good luck!

AS you have heard and see, there are truly a lot of opportunities to work from home.be it telecommuting, direct sales, writing, etc...
check out all the folders and see what peaks your interest.Having a passion for something is one of the keys to success.

Welcome to Wahm! There are a lot of great opportunities out there for you to look at. I work as a writer and so do many other WAHMs. If this interests you then definitely head down to the writing folder.

If you are worried if anything that you are looking into is a scam then come here and ask. These ladies are great at pointing out warning signs that you may not have seen. Good luck on your search.

Here's the deal. Either you work for yourself or you work for someone else. Signing up with a company "opportunity" isn't working for yourself, although, like many other things, you generally have more flexibility than a typical 9-5 job.

If you want to have your own business (I've been working from home, in my own business, since 1987), the formula is simple. Find a need. Fill the need. Let people know how you can fill the need better than anyone else.
