Q: Do I need a computer?
A: Yes it’s highly recommended that you use a computer. However, it is not necessary. You will have the option of also placing your order via phone. Q: How do I place my orders? A: Once you are in the Avon system you will be able to go online and place your orders at youravon.com. You can also place your order by phone. You will only place one order per campaign. You do not submit an order for each customer. You will receive a One Simple Shipping Fee based on order size for every order you submit. Q: Since the customer does not pay until the item arrives, do I have to pay for it first? A: When you sign up youwill be asked a few questions. This determines your credit with Avon. If you go over that credit on your first order you may or may not have to pay a deposit. You will have until the next campaign is due to pay off your previous campaign or your order will go on hold for up to 10 days until you pay. If you do not pay your order will be canceled after 10 days and Avon will add late fees per campaign. If for some reason Avon cannot validate your identity because of a recent move or any other reason you will be asked to pay for all orders upfront. This is your business so if you want to charge the customer upfront then you can. It is highly recommended that you provide any customer who pays upfront with a receipt at the time of payment. Q: What happens if someone does not pay for their order, am I out money? A: The good thing about Avon is that if your customer doesn't purchase their product you will find a customer who will want whatever doesn't sell. You can keep this item and sell it or you can return the item for credit to your account. However if you return it you will have to pay shipping charges. So the best thing would be to try to sell the item. Q: Do I need to pay in Sales Tax on orders? A: You will need to charge customers the appropriate sales tax for your state and when you place your order Avon will add the sales tax to your total cost of your order therefore Avon will pay in the sales tax for you. Q: Do I need to file income tax? A: Avon is not required to send in your name or SS# unless you make more than $5000 a year. You will need to contact your local CPA for info on filing for taxes. Q: Does Avon have a website available to reps so they can sell tocustomers out of state and if so how much does it cost? A: Yes Avon offers each representative their own personal webpage free of charge. Q: Do I have to keep any inventory on hand? A: At Avon, you are never required to keep a stock of products on hand. Q: Am I required to place an order every campaign? A: No, it’s not required but it’s advisable to at least order the brochures so you are able to show your customers the current sales and the latest products. To stay active you need to place an order every two or three campaigns even if it is a small order. Q: Do I have to attend meetings? A: You do not have to attend but I highly recommend it. Avon offers extensiveon-line training that you access 24 hours a day, seven days a week to enhance your business. Your District Sales Manager, or the Avon Representative who you decide to join under, may hold group meetings in your area designed to share product training or program incentives. If so, you will be contacted in advance. Q: Do I have to have parties? A: You are not required to have any parties. Q: How much does the average customer order? Q: Are there quotas to meet?
A. There are not quotas to sell Avon but you do need to place an order every 2or 3 campaigns to stay active. The size of the order does not matter. Q. Do I have to pay shipping? A. There is a one simple shipping fee for each order placed. The fee ranges from $5.95 to $14.95 depending on order size. You have the option of charging your customers a proc. Fee which will help cover the cost of the one simple fee. Q: Am I required to recruit people? A: There are no recruiting requirements. However if you come across someone who wants to join Avon learn more about the leadership opportunity by talking to your upline representative or DM before deciding to refer them. Q: Do I have to sign a contract with Avon? A: There is a contract to sign, but it is only to state that you agree to the terms and conditions of being a representative. There is no time limit on the contract, and there is no fee or penalty to ending your relationship with AVON. Q: What do I need to do if I decide Avon is not for me? A: You just need to pay off your account and/or return any items you have for credit and notify Customer Service or your District Manager/UplineRepresentative and let them know. Yes you can share however it is a little outdated right now since they changed the booster kit again. I would suggest to give new reps your opportunity page link by visiting your personal website > clicking on the opportunity link at the top > then right clicking "Get Started Now" button on the right side > click "copy shortcut" and then paste it into your email or word document.
