Has anyone ever been asked to read and edit a dissertation for grammar, phrasing, etc. and then do the edits once the client approves the edits? So far I am have been doing transcription of interviews for this same lady and now have new client for transcription. I am an experienced legal transcriptionist, but am in the newbie stage of doing my own business.

I am totally clueless as to how to determine what to charge her for this reading and editing project. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can figure out a reasonable price for her and me? Thanks

Hey! All of the proofers I know charge between .35-.65 per page to proof a file. If you are proofing it, waiting for the okay to make changes, and then making the changes, I would think you could raise the rate a little bit because of the wait time.
Hope this helps.

That's extremely low.
