View Full Version : Where to sell handmade furniture?

My husband has been making furniture (wine racks) out of pallets. We are thinking of selling them but would need to do it locally because shipping would be crazy. Where do you market large items like this for sale in local areas (we live in the Detroit metro araea)? I've seen similar ones on etsy but when you add in the $25+ dollars to ship it's not really worth it. Thanks.

Do you have flea markets or antique malls that you could rent space from? That might be an option

If you have some farmers markets in the surrounding area you may want to look into that. Some may allow handmade items like what you have to offer. Also, why not try craigslist due to the fact that it is free. Just remember to stay safe and maybe consider meeting potential buyers at a public place nearby.

You can order pamphlets from newspaper man to dispatch at local area nearby about your furniture. Also you can market using sending messages to friends and spreading the news by word of mouth.
