Yesterday we were frying tortillas for tacos, and while everything was set up, I thught I'd make some chips and strips.

I have an herb chopper that I never use for herbs. It's good for cutting strips because it's like a gang of pizza cutter wheels. I'd used it before to cut egg noodles.

I cut one tortilla and fried the strips, pretty much as I expected. But on the second tortilla, I goofed up and the cuts didn't go all the way across, leaving he strips connected at one end. When it went into the oil, I got a sort of grass-skirt effect:

The finished tortillas can be snapped apart for individual strips for salads or soups.
