I just joined a company and I'm super excited!
What are the best ways to promote and get some people joined under you??

This might be a better question for the network marketing section (http://www.wahm.com/forum/wahms-network-marketing-49/). Affiliate marketing is quite a bit different.

Agree with Angie this is not the place for it

True, I agree with Angie and Veronica too.

However, you might still want to pop in and check out some of the info here - affiliate marketers need to get traffic to their websites too, so you might learn some helpful stuff here as well.

Just be careful about staying on topic - for example, feel free to ask questions about things like traffic, but not on how to get people to join under you.

Besides, you might want to do a bit of affiliate marketing on the side as well...

I would suggest starting with the methods and tools are provided from your company. Pick the brains of those who are successfully marketing the same product/service and duplicate, duplicate, duplicate.

What we see a lot of is that people are given the steps to take, taught the methods and given the tools but for some reason, many want to 'reinvent the wheel' - often so much time is wasted because armed with the information needed to go out and get a sign-up or sale because they are spinning their wheels looking and investigating, looking for better or easier ways instead of DOING, taking action - follow the steps provided by your company for at least a few months before detouring....

Advertising is Advertising>> getting your message out in front of those people who want what you selling and have the means to buy it.... no matter what you are promoting or selling.

Find a way to post information about the company on social networking sites

If the company you're with has a referral forum, study what seasoned members have to say about their own success in getting referrals. You'll probably have to weed out what works for you.

Also try to learn from your seniors, upline members if you are in network marketing!

Just throwing out here so new people won't get confused that both network marketing and affiliate sales can involve recruiting people and reoccurring sales.

Affiliate sales can be either a one time sale, or offer the opportunity to earn reoccurring sales (from upgrades and accessories) and/or residual income from reoccurring fees (like in network marketing) -- clickbank offers a number of such programs and are considered affiliate sales rather than network marketing - where in my opinion, we are not acting as much like babysitters of a downline but rather concentrate on making new sales and they handle the retention and resells to customers.

So if you are new, don't get thrown off by the terms residual income or recruiting as these are marketing terms used generally in both network marketing and affiliate marketing. The terminology becomes blurry at times just as 'affiliate marketing' and 'internet marketing' can be used interchangeably at times.

Regardless if you are promoting a Network Marketing line or an affiliate product or service - Residual Income should always be on your radar when looking for new items/services to pick to promote as a GOOD thing. ;)
