Last year 2 stray kittens showed up in my back yard. We ended up taking them in - took them to the vet and got them shots and fixed. Vet said they were about 4 months old at the time and were not feral. So now they are a little over a year old and they are chewers! In particular, they have chewed through my tablet charging cable several times as well as the power line to my sleep number bed, which is over $300 to replace. They have also chewed the corners of every wooden ledge in my house - it is not like I can just sand these areas down and repaint them because they are actually CHEWED UP. I can deal with them digging their claws in the furniture to stretch but the chewing HAS to stop. Does anyone have any suggestions to curb their chewing destruction?

Do these cats think they are part canine? lol I have not heard of cats chewing like that so am interested myself to hear what others have to say. My cats will chew on paper if they find it but never furniture...good luck!

This is new to me. Usually cats just claw furniture and stuff not chew on them like dogs do.

What did your Vet suggest? I would hit them with water from a spray bottle to stop that or perhaps they are missing something from their diet too. They have spray for funiture perhaps try one of those.
Good Luck!!! Let me know how you fix this ok:confused:
