Naming your new cat is a difficult and important decision - after all, he'll have to live with that moniker for the rest of his life, and so will you. But naming a kitten can also be tons of fun! We culled our records and came up with the a current list of the 10 most popular cat names. It's no surprise that human names like Chloe and Charlie are trending right now, but we also found that old classics like Kitty and Tiger are still hanging in there.

Cute kitties!! Our cat's name is Blackjack but we always call him Kitty so that's what he knows :)

We have a Furby. Her names not on the list either, but her name suits her. She is a tortieshell bobtail.

I think Bella is a very popular dog name too. Probably started around the time Twilight came out. One of my cat's name is Mishka. When we first got him he went rushing out the door so my dad said he must be Russian. So Mishka sounded Russian.

We have always given our cats a name from a Disney movie---silly, I know but that's just what we have done....

We've had a Baloo and Oliver and now we have a Kiara (Simba's daughter), Miko (from Pochahontas), and Louie (from Jungle Book).

Oddly enough we have yet to name one after a cat in Aristocats.....maybe next time,

We have 3 cats, their names are Sparky, Garfield (my daughter named him) and our newest addition, is Kinley.

None of my cats' names are on the list, but growing up, my sister and I had a cat named Kitty. She was a calico. I miss her.

My cats all have people names. They are usually people names that I don't particularly like for people, but they seem perfect for cats!

Our cat is named Monkey because she is so crazy. But we call her kitten most of the time.

This makes me miss my kittens that are currently being babysat while we settle in our new home! :(
