Hello Everyone!

I am starting up a travel club for homeschoolers. I want to provide opportunities for my boys to be able to experience living history, and travel our beautiful world. I haven't found a lot of travel opportunities specifically for homeschooling families. So I am creating the Homeschool Travel Club. My object is not to make a profit on these trips, but to let other homeschooling families enjoy discounted rates by traveling together as a group.

Our first trip is a visit to Colonial Williamsburg for their Homeschooling Days in Feb 2013. I have put together a great package with a local charter bus and hotel in Williamsburg. On the trip we will be visiting Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown & the Mariner's Museum.

Please message me if you would like to learn more.

Wow! what an amazing idea! Thank you for not only doing this, but sharing it. We are a roadschooling (http://www.time4learning.com/roadschooling.shtml) family, so this is very much up my alley!

Your welcome! I am working on a NOT back to school field trip to Legoland for Aug-Sept.
And Sept 2013- a trip to Pearl Harbor & the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii.
If you want to keep updated join our yahoo group or our facebook page
homeschooltravelclub : Homeschool Travel Club (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/homeschooltravelclub)

And tell all your friends. I am putting together these trips to help homeschoolers be able to travel together. I am not making a profit on them. But the only way they can work is if we get groups of 20 families or more.

Let me know if you have any questions about any of our trips.

Great idea! Check out CouchSurfing.org to find other families doing this, to meet new people and to get (and give!) free accommodations with/for other homeschooling/traveling families! :) We hosted our first Couchsurfer at Christmastime and plan to do it again (we also host foreign exchange students, and will be welcoming a girl from Spain in a couple of months)!

That is a really neat idea. Too bad we live in another state. But I really like what you are putting together.

Hi how'd it go with planning the travel club? I'm asking because I have been looking for a group to 'world school' with my daughter Is seven we travel often alone it would be nice for her to have some likemind kids to do school work with or even just play in the pool with. We most travel in the US but looking at Italy, Egypt Senegal Bali etc for humanitarian and educational trips looking forward to meeting you
