Hope someone here can help me....I live in Northern Nevada and I have been overrun by these little yard creatures called Voles...they are kinda like a field mouse, but a bit bigger, and they live underground. They are destroying my yard w/holes but they are starting to kill my roses and trees by chewing them off by the ground....help! I have dogs, which do catch some of them, and I don't want to use poison since I do have my dogs....does anyone know what I can do to get rid of these pests??

I have a few moles that live in my rose garden, they do live under the rose bushes but my roses seem to be growing better since they moved in so I let them alone.

I found some info on the Voles that may help. Good Luck! I know how much I love my roses so I can imagine how upsetting this is.

I'm sure that you problem with voles is not so terrible. That's a season problem with all mouses and when they are preparing to winter they are really annoying as well. So I guess that some village cats will help you, and may be you can live some food for them outside your yard.

Your title says it all. After a while it almost feels like we need to name some of the vermin that take over our yards because we can't seem to get rid of them. :D
