My daughters are 9 and 7..but a few years ago when we went on a plane ride to Disney- their favorite books were our sticker dressing books, and our look and find. Boy sticker books- like pirates, knights, etc are fun- and for girls- we have everything from weddings to popstars.
For chapter reading we have quite an assortment as well- for those recommendations it would depend on their interests :)
Check out the website below- let me know if you have any questions!

I like all of the Barefoot book with the fun CD's they can listen to along the way. My 4 year old and my 9 year old enjoy them together.

‪Portside Pirates! (Barefoot Books)‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qAngsMJD3I) Portside Pirates

‪Driving My Tractor (Barefoot Books)‬‏ - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj_odhwo81s) Driving my tractor

Of course they both LOVE stories by Shakespeare:

I stick the CD's in the laptop or a portable CD player.

Check out the site... books and activities for all ages!

Hope this helps!
