View Full Version : New distributor today

03-14-2006, 12:53 PM
Hi, everyone...After thinking about it for at least a year (!), I've become a new distributor today.

I haven't even smelled the candles yet, but just going by all the raves here, I'm assuming they will be wonderful.

I look forward to getting to know everyone here--I enjoy the success
stories, and hope I'll be able to make a go of this too. (I am an
introvert, so face to face retail won't be my strong suit.)

Are there any other introverts here who have overcome their shyness and
been able to earn even a single dollar, lol, with these candles? :)

Welcome, Becky!

You're going to be great- these candles sell themselves, they don't care if
you are shy. LOL smileys/smiley2.gif

Be sure to start listening in on as many of the training and business calls
as you can. Check the message board in your back office- there is a
folder with recorded training calls that you can listen to. Share your
votives with your friends, and word of mouth will take you a long way.

To get off the the best start possible, be sure to:

1. Work closely with your sponsor- Complete your Partnership Agreement
and get it back to him/her right away, and set a date to go over it and
work out an action plan and followup meetings. I encourage my new
partners to check in with me on a weekly basis or more during the first

2. Read and re-read your Roadmap to Success, and FOLLOW it! This is a
proven-guide to building a strong and successful business, a goldmine
resource! This along with our weekly training calls and your team's
personal training calls and tools will set a clear path for you to follow.

3. Make or order your business labels (re-order labels) and business
cards, order brochures, a t-shirt or two.. Shirts are a great way to attract
customers and invite conversation if you are shy. Make up your scent
samples, attach them to brochures & business cards and start leaving
them everywhere you go and handing them out to everyone.

Congratulations on your new business venture! Stop being a lurker and
join the fun here with us.

Welcome, Becky! From one extreme introvert to another, you will have no problem smileys/smiley1.gif! People go crazy after smelling these, thatI found that I have no trouble talking about something that I love - you will notice it gets easier and easier each time you talk to someone. I have been with the company a little over 6 months and I am doing very well. I am sure you will too. Make sure to read as much as you can and participate in the training calls. The more information that you know, the easier it is. Good luck - you can do it! smileys/smiley32.gif

I am SOO shy when it comes to approaching people about the candles but i have noticed that by telling friends and family, the word has spreaded and now THEIR friends and family wants the candles.

I have sold almost 2 cases of jars!!! Now I'm doing my business cards with samples(you can see my post on Candy Molds) and I have been leaving them at restaurants with my tip(you don't have to say anything) and my mom well....she's not shy so she has helped me give out my business cards.

Also I agree with reading all the materials that Mia Bella haves, I at least go ever them twice a week.

You will do fine!!!

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! :)

I'm sure I'll be stumbling and bumbling along, but I'm diving in right away, and am already at work.

Wishing you all success!

Hi Becky - welcome to mia bella. It can be overwhelming getting used to everything, but you will be fine and realize how everything falls into place. I always recommend to new distributors to get a three ring binder and print everything out from the back office. Read through and get on some pre-recorded conference calls to get you going and learning about the business. Always keep in touch with your sponsor and of course we'll be here if you have any questions ! Good luck with your success on your new business smileys/smiley2.gif
