I have an internet friend who wants to buy candles. How much does it cost to ship a jar? Who should I use PO, UPS, Fed Ex?

Ruth,

Your PO will be the cheapest option- priority mail has a flat rate box that is
shoe box shape, for $8.10 -this is what I use for shipping multiple jars- not
sure if it would be cheaper to go with actual or flat rate for one jar, so you
may want to put the candle on the scale there, first.

Sounds like your business is off to a great start!

Well that depends on where they are located and you are located. A jar is about 2 lbs each, then add the padding for the box. If they buy more than 1 , say 2 you can use a flat rate box at the post office for 8.10 no matter the weight. You can put atleast 5 jars in them. :) HTH

I sent one jar w/ padding about a week ago UPS and it was about $6.50.
