View Full Version : Using internet resources?

Hi everyone!

I'm a mom who relies heavily on internet resources to homeschool my kids. With three children, I was finding that I spent more time looking for and evaluating resources than I did actually working with the kids! And of course my lists of links were in my bookmarks folder, in spreadsheets, written on note cards - quite a mess!

So I had this idea of creating a site where all the research is done for the parents - kind of like turning the internet INTO a ready-to-use homeschool curriculum. After close to 2 years of work and building up a great team, the site has launched and has content for children in grades K-3 (older grades coming soon). All of these great internet resources are mapped into Pathways - or one week topic units - and they contain a variety of types of links to things like lessons, videos, printables, educational online games, hands-on projects, and more. I've made sure that each topic Pathway has links to appeal to many different learning styles and teaching methods.

It is a subscription-based site, but the rates are VERY affordable and a subscription is family-based, so you don't have to pay extra for additional siblings. We have added a planning tool to make it really easy to choose which topics you'd like to teach your children.

You can check out the site here: Lesson Pathways: Building Paths for Online Learning (http://www.LessonPathways.com)

We're also offering a selection of FREE units each week, so you can just register on the site for free and use those units without the planner too. Or subscribe and you can use the planner and 600 + topic unit Pathways.

I'd love your feedback on the site, so please let me know what you think!
