Had my New Jewelry Open House today at a local well-known salon. And NO ONE CAME until the last ten minutes, when a Scentsy rep who supports me (and I, her) came and bought one item.

WOW this is going to be hard to keep Silpada going in this town!!! She said July was the pits for her, too. So perhaps August is the same.

So.....I'm just have to keep plugging away and PRAY that SOMEONE will express interest and book a show. Unfortunately, I'm in a small tourist town where many are modern day "hippies" who don't wear much jewelry.

I swear, I would have made a fabulous Silpada rep if I had lived in a much larger town. :o

Doods,

You'll be fine. Rome wasn't built in a day! I'm finding people don't want to book shows until after school starts. Lots of people are on vacation or people are vacationing at their house. Some just are filled with summer activities. Fall will be better! People start to think about Christmas gifts in October.
Did you see the stocks today?! This morning they were up over 9300! It's gettin better all the time.......

Robin :)

Robin, thanks for your great words of encouragement. :) I needed it. I'm raring to go and was feeling impatient after the bummer open house. So..I'll just wear my multi-strand bronze beaded bracelet around town with my boho long necklace framing my corded long necklace with the circle on the end and stones hanging from that.....and tell everyone to eat your heart out. :p

Doodles with an attitude :D

You go girl!!

Do you ever listen to the tele-clinic replay line?? I have a couple of favorites - Teresa Price May 26, 2009 for Booking and Edie McBean December 10, 2008 for Recruiting...although she has some tips on booking too. I really liked both of these clinics.

:D

I've never listened to any of them. I keep forgetting, or I'm in the middle of something else. ;) But I'll make a point to listen to both of this.

Doodles, the Hip Diva Rep waiting, waiting, waiting........

It will pick up soon....I for one am traveling again (just got back for NJ) in Sept. to Puerto Rico....so even though I would be shopping online by now I cant...I still have to get my shoes for the Sweet 15...I got my dress in New York...fabulous...yeeehah!!! Add to that the hair, nails, facial, makeup...DAMN...it gets expensive...but I will be back with a shopping revenge....I PROMISE!

Search, you're right. My Scentsy friend here said her July was horrible and August not any better. lol.

I love the Sweet 15 tradition. Never been to one, but found out about them several years ago. Yeah, nails are a must. I get mine done every two weeks. They are my killer addition to my Silpada rings. haha
