My son is in the Air Force and is stationed at Maguire AFB in New Jersey. I miss him and his wife and my grandbaby so much. I am so proud of him! Its nice to have a forum to meet others in the same boat. Nice to meet you all!

Hi Lisa!

Great to meet you. Thanks for being such a support AF mom and thanks so much to your son and his family!

I am an Army mom and former Army spouse. My sons are both at Ft. Bragg, NC.

Make sure to find us on Facebook, too.

Hi All,
Another Army Mom here too.
My son Jesse is inthe Army. He's aCombat Engineer currently at Fort Benning. He received his deployment papers last week. He'll be heading to Iraq in October.

We are very proud, but MAN it all seems so very scary now that he is actually being deployed. I'll be a basket case....

There is a great forum for Army parents called www.GoArmyParents.com (http://www.GoArmyParents.com) where you can also find other parents from the same units as perhaps your son/daughter.

They also have a Facebook group page, too.

Thank you Patty - I will check that out. Lot's of resources for Army spouses (which is very good), but as a parent I feel a little like an island :)

He's still my baby, 22 is not that old, lol...

Thanks again.

You're very welcome, Robin! It's really nice to have a place to go to with other Army parents that can relate.

Hope to see you over there!
