CareerStep is a medical transcription, billing, and coding school online. It is one of the most respected of all of them. I took the course in 2006 and it got me started in working from home. Many graduates work from home as *employees* with companies like Spheris who pay quite well and offer benefits on par with out of home work.

CS has a 20% discount for military spouses (detailed here (http://www.careerstep.com/gijobs/)) but I just found out about this. (http://pr-usa.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=214456&I temid=33)

I thought I'd
pop over here and the transcription folder and let people know that the
DoD's Military Spouse Career Advancement Account is actually qualifying
spouses for up to $6,000 for training through CS. That would easily pay
for the whole course. Even if you qualify for only a portion of that,
plus CS's 20% discount, it would really save a lot of money.

This training really is fantastic and MT is a great WAH career opportunity, especially for those of us who have to move all over the place all the time.
