http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley10.gifHi Girls!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley10.gif

I was wondering if you guys could give me your advice. We are TTC our first child...I've been off birth control in mid September...and I had heavy periods...but they were just about monthly....so somewhat regular.
I now haven't had a period since mid February...so about 6 weeks...and the pregnancy tests are negative negative negative.....so I was wondering...do you think it is just an irregular cycle that will even itself out? I have an appointment in 3 weeks to see my gyno....but it's just strange that I used to get my period MORE frequently...and now I haven't gotten it at all?
Any ideas?http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

Thanks! I'm new to this so it's a bit of a confusion!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif

If you have been on BC for a long time then I have heard it can sometime screw up your PD for awhile.

I have PCOS so I skip PD's ALL the time!!! I never know when I am going get one!

If you have something like i do they may start you on clomid like they did me, Clomid makes you ovulate. We tried for 4 years to get PG and then finally did on our 3rd round of clomid. He is 14 months now!

We are PG again, we moved and lost insurance waiting for the new job's to kick in. I wasn't worried I mean I had to go on clomid to get PG with my son, we'll I got PG!!

Your doc will proubably do some test's unless he/she thinks it is a side effct of coming off the BC.

Thanks!

The docs did suspect me of PCOS back about 10 years ago when I went on BC...I had swollen ovaries and very heavy frequent/irregular periods...so I spose that might be some testing they may want to do!
Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease for a little while til the appointment!

Your welcome!

There is nothing more stressful then trying to concieve!! I have always wanted to be a mom! When I was little and asked "what do you want to be when you grow up?" It was a mom.

I understand the struggles!

If you find out you do have PCOS and have any questions I am here!

I wish I had advice for you, but I had such a different experience. I was on BC pill for 17 years. I came off it in October, was regular immediately and got PG in January. Everyone is so different.

I do want to wish you good luck though!
