Hey woman did you have that baby yet???

Yes I had the baby! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifSorry I haven't been in to let you guys know but I had to make several trips to the ER because I have what's called the "post spinal headache" and let me tell you.........I'll never get an epidural again!!!!!!!!! I'm in so much pain. The meds they have me on just aren't doing what they need to be doing and I have a sneaky feeling I'll be making another trip to the ER this week.

They induced my labor on Sunday morning 6am September 28th. Jalen still insisted on staying inside and I stayed in labor for 15 hours! I can't say I enjoyed my labor since they did mess up with the epidural once. The pain was intolerable.......and all of the pain was in my butt! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifBut my little man was born at 9:44pm.......2 hours and 15 minutes before my birthday! 8 pounds 12 ounces and 21 inchs long. So yes I spent my birthday nursing and trying to calm the headache that wouldn't quit. His daddy did pretty good too for a first timer. I could tell he was nervous but he helped me tremendously with getting through the contractions. And although I had a long labor, I pushed my big ole baby out in about 15 minutes.......right in the middle of the season premiere of Desperate Housewives!

I'm almost recovered now. It's funny how we take little things like a shower for granted! And I miss my sleep as well but I'm glad to have my little man home. He's my new boyfriend!

I'll post pictures when i can. We were in a frenzy looking for the digital camera and couldn't find it so we had to go buy a disposable camera. And I would show you the pictures they took at the hospital but I don't like them! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

Oh, Lindsey, the swing is a GODSEND! He sleeps real good in that!

Becki, hopefully we'll be getting the pictures this week. The dingbat had the film sent out instead of getting the one hour development! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gifAnd yes I'm happy he's out but not happy about the painfully loud blaring of his lungs!

And cybermommy, yes the butt pains are the worst. No more babies for fear of butt labor! LOL

Congratulations, Marleeka! Welcome to the world, Jalen!

Marleeka, I'm so sorry you're dealing with a spinal headache at a time like this. Having had them twice myself, you have my deepest sympathy. Stay well hydrated and don't hesitate to ask for a "blood patch" if it drags on too much longer.
