Hello, everyone!

I was wondering what all the little pleasures we all have after we've lost a little or a lot weight?

I mean, for me, I could think offour that made me HAPPY:

1) I rediscovered my jawbone, which was hidden behind a double chin.

2) I went from using a bra back extender (sometimes two!) to get my bra to fit all the way around me - but now do I not need an extender, and Ican fastenmy bra at the smallest hook.

3) One day, during a conversation, I CASUALLY crossed my legs. Seems weird, I know, but I was able to do casually and not struggle with it just to have my leg slide off my knee anyway. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

4) Putting on my pants - I used to have to put the pants practically on the floor and step into them, but now I can hold them about waist high and bring my legs up to climb into them, like I used to when I was thinner.

Now tell me what little accomplishments that have happened to you along the way, on your journeyto goodhealth and fitness????http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gifhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif

I can actually wear a short coat instead of a longer coat trying to cover my butt.
I can actually wear a one piece bathing suit and not a swim dress http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
I can can actually bend down and tie my shoes without having to bring them up to my leg to tie.
And this is really embarrassing but it really has made a big difference...I can actually shave my bikini line and see where I am shaving without having to guess or try moving the fat around http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gifhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

Dawn, that's amazing! I really like the one about the shaving because I still have an overhang of skin that I'm not sure how to get rid of!! I am so glad for you! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif

The main thing for me is:

Being able to wear my wedding ring again! I remember the day clearly that I was finally able to put it back on.

When I was preg, we bought a cheap band since my fingers were so swollen. I thought as soon as I had ds I'd be able to put my ring back on. Not so. I had to wear that band for well over a year after my pregnancy (so, close to 2 yrs without my ring).

Now, I wear the band on my thumb. It is speical to me, because it reminds me of my pregnancy. It is also a reminder of where I was and what I've accomplished. :)

The other thing would be...being able to go for a walk/run without getting that yucky irritation on the inside of my upper thighs. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif

When hubby and I got married (almost 11 years ago),I was heavier so my ring was made bigger for my finger. Now that I have lost the weight, my ring is huge and it slides around ALOT. That was pretty impressive to me because I have had the ring for so long I never thought it would be loose. I actually have to get it sized down soon because I am so afraid I am going to lose it!
